Alex is a former bird seed factory worker, under 16s National Orienteer, and Mathlete.
A current Pokémon and Middlesbrough Football Club Enthusiast, and, if his LinkedIn and mother’s Church WhatsApp group is to be believed, a writer from North Yorkshire.
He has been writing for 8 years, and during that time he have written, starred, produced, directed and edited every short film you’ve never seen.

Wrote and acted in the opening sketch for the show with Jason Manford which went out on BBC One on 27th December 2025 with an audience of 2.6 million.
43 YEARS – PROFESSIONAL THEATRE CREDIT WITH THE BLOWIN’ A HOOLEY THEATRE COMPANY – WRITER
His short play ‘43 Years’ was selected for the ‘Hadaway and Write’ writer’s initiative, receiving a professional production and run across January and February 2024.
Shortlisted for the Prototype event at the Uproar Theatre in early 2022.
Selected for the Loco Comedy Film Festival 2023 and screened at the Picturehouse Hackney.
TWISTORY – EDINBROUGH FRINGE – WRITER/PERFORMER
Wrote and performed in the Birmingham Footnotes comedy sketch show ‘Twistory,’ at the Edinburgh fringe in 2019.
His project Fishing was listed in the top 26% of submissions for the BBC Writers’ Academy 2022/23 and ranked in the top 30% of submissions for the ALL3Media New Wrtiers Collective 2025.
